I sat down this evening and talked to an elderly lady who lives a few apts down from me. She is a Christian and I have a lot of respect for her.
She was born into a Baptist family back in South Carolina in 1918. She is 94 years young. I want to say Southern Baptist but I am not sure if that is right or not.
She is a delightful woman and is full time caregiver to her hubby who is 101 years young. She has help with her kids and in home care givers also.
I asked her how she felt about folks who are gay.
She smiled and told me every living human on the face of this earh is a child of God, whether they want to believe it or not.
She says we are all to love each other like the Father loves us with mercy and grace.
She said we are not to step out as the righteous one and call another lower because those who are truly righteous pray quietly for the lost ones. They do not shout to the world look at me. They do not belittle and condem. It is not their place. They are not God.
She said she does not partake of the life style of gay folks but when she meets them on the street she gives them a big smile, a hand shake and even a hug. They are children of God and we are all related through the blood.
She says there is only one who can declare judgement and that same one will delcare judgement on the ones who stand for the attention and not for the way of the Father.
She said the way of the Father is through quiet prayer and caring.
