Eww. That third one looks like a toasted marshmallow with an egg yolk inside!
feyenigma posted some fungus, too. it must be that time of year.
very interesting stuff.
Beautiful fungi. There is fungus among us. lol
I hear that you eat wild ones at great risk unless you know what you are doing.
The photos have come out well.
John and I spent months looking for red/orange amanita muscaria (the third one). We only found white and yellow muscaria and Amanita virosa (and probably a few other amanitas as well I stopped keeping track).
The third picture looks like an apricot pie with crumbled crust on top.
third one actually looks yummy
they turned out well I must say
Very cool pics, Ruth!
Interesting pictures! Thanks for sharing.
Lovely mushrooms!
How much I love those photos . In the past I had studied the mushroms and occasionally I ate some of them , with my students or family . Nowadays I loose touch and admire only . I am tempted to name the yours above but I am hesiting because we have to obderve some features to be precise and sure . Thanks, Ruth, forthe beautiful reminder of thie.
Love
Michel
spectacular! and such variety! do you pick any of them to eat?
Some of the fall mushrooms are good to eat. I found a whole mess of them yesterday that I think were edible but the book said not to eat them because they are too close in looks to the destroying angel. So I threw them away.
Hey I saw you on Facebook too. Have a great week-end!
Nice pictures, but....I will stay very clear of those fungi, they could be deadly....
Love the things you find on your walks. Thanks for sharing your fungus
I love fungus!
What interesting photos of mushrooms. The only ones around here are those round white ones and some weird little brown ones. I enjoy your walks about your area and all the interesting and beautiful things you find. Hope all is going well with you and TD. Glad to hear your soon is getting better.
